This spot was a spec that was done as a part of the Sony Commercial Directors Diversity Program. The concept behind this was to have three distinct sections showcasing the color gamut of a theoretical new Sony display. The challenge here was a very limited budget for this type of commercial production. I didn’t have the budget for any wireless DMX lighting or RGB fixtures other than an Arri Skypanel that I own. Most of the colored lighting in this came from Phillips Hue bulbs that were controlled via Luminaire on an iPad. This was also my first time using a Cartoni Lambda head which was a lot of fun to use on a shot where the woman windmill kicks the threatening man to the floor.
