Skater Girl was my first narrative work outside of the United States. I was on my way to Mumbai to work on a documentary with my wife when I got a call from director Manjari Makijany asking if I was interested in doing a few days of additional photography. Next thing I knew I was in a rural village outside of Udaipur with a camera crew. Looking back at the film its incredible to see how those days of reshoots dramatically improved the first act of the film and the project overall.
